Kenya gained membership of the International Youth Federation 

Gomel, Belarus:  In a statement issued today, the Executive Board announced that Kenya has gained the permanent membership of the International Youth Federation. 

Our vision at the International Youth Federation is to enable African youth to get their voices heard. Giving talented and motivated young people the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge to actively contribute to the development of their societies. 

Executive Board announces Mwaura Kimani as International Youth Federation Representative in Kenya 

Mr. Mwaura Kimani is a young professional with major interests in articulating the vision of a successful youth majority across the globe by reducing unemployment, ending global conflict, better access to healthcare and affordable/free education for all. A graduate of Urban Planning & Design, he has major interests in spatial fabrics, elements of space and the organization of spaces more so the activity and vibrancy of public spaces, and their protection.

He has been involved in various youth programmes both at Regional level and National level including holding youth consultations, representing the youth at stakeholder forums and acting as a mentor for the younger youths at community level.  


The International Youth Federation is an international non-profit youth organizations network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is neutral politically, and non-denominational, aim to empowering youth worldwide through improving the status of youth and promote cooperation between youth organizations in different countries.
