International Youth Federation announces Heidi Sohdy (Egyptian) as Regional Director for Middle East and North Africa

London, United Kingdom:  It is our pleasure to announce today that Ms. Heidi Sohdy named as International Youth Federation Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa.

“We are so happy to have Ms. Heidi as leader of the Arab States, her experience has been a perfect fit. We’re extremely proud of the exceptional programs we will to bring to the Arab States and Ms Heidi has hit the ground running to help spread the word about our work and to secure the success of our operations and presence in Middle East and North Africa.” Said Ms. Krystel SANEH, President of the International Youth Federation.

“Ms Heidi is an outstanding young leader and role model for Arab youth who brings valuable perspective and insight.”  Said Ambassador Saeed ZAKI, IYF Secretary General.

About her appointment, Ms. Heidi said: “Empowering youth is the only way to have great leaders who can make great impact in the world”.

Ms. Heidi Sohdy is an Egyptian young professional, mentor, public speaker, trainer and she is first female solo traveler in the Arab region. Heidi has great community engagement through her lectures and events across Egyptian Universities and other events. Through her traveling across the continents she advocate for peace and coexistence between nations. Her vision is that “the world could be a better place to live if we can accept each other”. 

Ms. Heidi served in the International Youth Federation previously as IYF Representative in Egypt. After she been there for one year, the IYF Executive Board promoted her to the Regional Director for Arab States.
