Afghanistan gained membership of the International Youth Federation
Gomel, Belarus: In a statement issued today, the Executive Board announced that Afghanistan has gained the permanent membership of the International Youth Federation.
Our vision at the International Youth Federation is to enable the youth to get their voices heard. Giving talented and motivated young people the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge to actively contribute to the development of their societies.
Executive Board announces Adil Zafar as International Youth Federation Representative in Afghanistan
Mr. Adil Zafar is young professional, talented, young and enthusiastic youth activist who actively work for advancing youth development in Afghanistan. Working as Youth Coordinator for Drug Prevention in INGO in Afghanistan, Mr. Adil was involved in youth development since the last 7 years, representing Afghanistan in many national and international conferences.
Mr. Zafar is one of the most familiar faces working for youth development in Afghanistan. He is optimistic about the future of the country. Regarding this appointment, He says “Young generation is the only hope for a better future of Afghanistan; they have the energy, the motivation, the strength and the duty to rebuild the country”. Mr. Zafar holds master’s degree in the field of Public Administration from Swiss University of Afghanistan (UMEF).
The International Youth Federation is an international non-profit youth organisations network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is neutral politically, and non-denominational, aim to empower youth worldwide through improving the status of youth and promote cooperation between youth organisations in different countries.
