International Youth Federation announces Nidhal Lamraoui as Assistant Secretary-General on Women’s Empowerment
London, United Kingdom: Today the International Youth Federation named Ms. Nidhal Lamraoui as Assistant Secretary-General on Women’s Empowerment. The decision announced via the IYF Executive Board.
“Building diverse and inclusive societies is essential to our ability to meet the needs of the Sustainable Development, and achieving the global agenda by 2030, one of the key goals is goal 5: ‘Gender Equality’. As a part of these global efforts, we at the International Youth Federation work to empower women to make a meaningful impact on our societies and in our world. We have a strong representation of women at all levels and we are focused on attracting, retaining and developing our diverse talent.” Said Ms. Krystel SANEH, IYF President.
President Krystel added: “On this occasion, I am pleased to welcome Ms. Nidhal to the IYF, her leadership experience coupled with her strategic thinking and proven ability to deliver results make her the right person to help execute the IYF’s strategic priorities toward women’s empowerment worldwide.”
“I hope that Women’s Empowerment intervention in the IYF will serve as an entry point to improve civic engagement and global partnerships on improving the status of women for years to come. The IYF is honored to have Ms. Nidhal as Assist Secretary General on Women’s Empowerment, She is an impressive advocate, intelligent woman, dedicated humanitarian and a leader in her field.” Said Ambassador Saeed ZAKI, IYF Secretary-General.
In a comment on her appointment Ms. Nidhal is said: “I am not only honored with this appointment but also appreciative of being given the chance to prove my truest devotion and my greatest genuine passion for women’s empowerment”, she added: “Having been involved with the women's rights movements and the feminist wave both nationally and regionally, I am excited I could carry out my activism to an international level. I am exhilarated that my voice along with other same goal-oriented individuals and groups will echo in the farthest points of the world.
Ms. Nidhal Lamraoui is a young professional, writer, speaker, mentor, global citizen, young advocate and women activist, passionate about youth development, international relations and women’s rights. She has been proactive in many women’s empowerment projects and initiatives at national and regional level.
As a champion for change, Ms. Nidhal represents international efforts of women’s empowerment including striving for women’s economic empowerment and gender equality. By been actively locally and online, she had been heavily involved in several initiatives aim for supporting women representations and get their voice heard.
