Azerbaijan gained membership of the International Youth Federation 

London, United Kingdom:  In a statement issued today, the Executive Board announced that the Republic of Azerbaijan has gained the permanent membership of the International Youth Federation. 

Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan constitutes more than 9 million people. The number of youth 14-29 years of age is more than 2,9 million or 31,4 % from the general population. 49% out of them are men, 51% - women. Slightly more young people live in urban areas – 53% and 46 % live in rural areas accordingly. Our vision at the IYF is to enable Azerbaijani's youth to get their voices heard and to give talented and motivated young people the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge to actively contribute to the development of their societies. 

Executive Board announces Arzu Mammadova as International Youth Federation Representative in the Republic of Azerbaijan

Ms. Mamedova is a young leader and athlete and youth activist, passionate about youth, sport and international relations. She has been an active part of both the Azerbaijani and international community, having previously been both a UN Security Council delegate and a Young Ambassador during the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing (China). 

Ms. Mammadova holds a Master in Spanish Philology from Lomonosov Moscow State University Baku branch.
