International Youth Federation announces Michelle Zapata as Regional Director for Americas and Caribbean   

London, United Kingdom: In a statement issued today, the IYF Executive Board announced that Ms. Michelle Zapata appointed as Regional Director for Americas & Caribbean.  

“Michelle has the right skills and has come to the right place. She is results driven and I have no doubt that he will make a great contribution to our operations in the Americas region.”    Said Ms. Krystel SANEH, IYF President.

“We are delighted to welcome Michelle on board to lead the expansion of the IYF’s presence in the Americas and the Caribbean region, and we have the utmost confidence that she will bring renewed energy and creative solutions to the region.” Said Ambassador Saeed ZAKI, Secretary General of The International Youth Federation.

Ms. Michelle is an award-winning young leader, passionate about youth empowerment, social entrepreneurship, migration, human rights and child and youth issues. 

Through her work experience, she works as Institutional Development Coordinator for the international NGO World Vision in Mexico, and she has also worked with Children International and Hult Prize Foundation, and supported other organizations such as Amnesty International and TECHO. Ms. Michelle holds a Bachelor in International Business with specialization on International Cooperation for Development from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education.
