Jordan gained membership of the International Youth Federation 

London, United Kingdom:  In a statement issued today, the Executive Board announced that Jordan had gained the permanent membership of the International Youth Federation. 
Our vision at the IYF is to enable Jordanian’s youth to get their voices heard and to give talented and motivated young people the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge to actively contribute to the development of their societies. 

Executive Board announces Maha Qashou as International Youth Federation Representative in Jordan

Ms. Maha is a young professional who is passionate about youth development, human rights, and social justice. She believes in cultivating and utilizing the power of youth in turbulent surroundings and through her functions, has been able to empower young leaders in different disciplines that enable them to participate in the development process in their communities. She is a certified human rights trainer on International Human Rights Mechanisms from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and a certified trainer in Active citizenship.  Maha believes in social change which engages and creates efficient leadership as the driving force towards a more holistic and empowering future for all societies. She possesses an inspirational, motivating and change-making spirit and believes in the power of youth and women in facing global challenges, such as, but not limited to unemployment and human rights violations. 

About her recent appointment, she said: “It is important to address youth issues and aspirations through human rights based approach, which will, with no doubts, change the game actors and outcomes”.

The International Youth Federation is an international non-profit youth organizations network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is neutral politically, and non-denominational, aim to empower youth worldwide through improving the status of youth and promote cooperation between youth organizations in different countries.
