Empowering Women for a Brighter Future
At the International Youth Federation (IYF), we are committed to advancing women's empowerment as a fundamental pillar of sustainable development. Our initiatives focus on providing women with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to lead, innovate, and make a significant impact in their communities and beyond.
The mission of the Women's Empowerment Division (WED) is to promote gender equality and empower women through targeted programs and initiatives. We aim to enhance women's socio-economic status, increase their participation in leadership roles, and ensure their rights and opportunities are upheld.
Strategic Objectives
- Promote Gender Equality: Advocate for policies and practices that ensure equal opportunities and rights for women.
- Enhance Economic Empowerment: Provide women with access to resources, training, and support to improve their economic status.
- Foster Leadership: Develop women's leadership skills and increase their representation in decision-making positions.
- Support Education and Training: Ensure women have access to quality education and vocational training.
- Advocate for Women's Rights: Raise awareness and take action against gender-based violence and discrimination.
Our Approach
- Capacity Building: Offer training programs and workshops focused on skills development, entrepreneurship, and leadership for women.
- Mentorship and Networking: Create mentorship opportunities that connect women with experienced leaders and role models.
- Economic Empowerment Programs: Support initiatives that provide women with access to financial resources, business training, and market opportunities.
- Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns: Conduct campaigns to raise awareness about women's rights and promote gender equality.

Through our initiatives, we aim to contribute to the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:

To ensure the effectiveness and quality of our initiatives, we will implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework, regularly assessing outcomes and impacts. Key indicators will include the number of women trained, improvements in economic status, and increased representation of women in leadership roles.
