International Youth Federation named Alberto Pla (Spanish) as Chair of Press Commission

Minsk, Belarus:  The Executive Board today named Mr. Alberto Pla named as new Chair of Press Commission for The International Youth Federation. “We’re delighted to have Mr. Alberto on board, who demonstrated the professionalism during his international experience in the field of press.” Said Ms. Krystel SANEH, IYF President.

“Alberto brings international press visibility, extensive experience in communications for non-profit press operations, and unquenchable energy to the Press Commission.” Said Ambassador Saeed ZAKI, Secretary General of The International Youth Federation.

Mr. Alberto is an international press professional, born in Valencia in 1985, where currently resides. He studied Journalism and has a Psychology degree from the Catholic University of Valencia while studying photography. He leads his own communication agency focused on social projects.

From 2011 has worked for several companies and NGOs as SOLCA, CESAL, TECHO, PNUD-ART or Valencia CF Foundation in countries as Slovakia, Spain, India, Mozambique, Dominican Republic or Haiti.

In 2012 and 2013 he received the first Price of the Civil Rights Foundation for his work in the Indian city Rajeev Nagar about the importance of education and for the work “Mechanical children” about the child exploitation, among others awards. Recently was nominated as one of the most talented youth is his region.

Mr. Pla has developed several exhibitions in Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, London, Miami or Santo Domingo at galleries as National Palace of Fine Art (Dominican Republic), Art Basel, some important train stations like Atocha or Barcelona-Francia and international Cultural Centers as Bancaja Foundation. Newspapers as Gea Photo Words and El País has published his work on the front page.
