International Youth Federation announces Sarah Harrison (Canadian) as Chair of International Relations

Minsk, Belarus:  The International Youth Federation named Ms. Sarah Harrison as Chair of International Relations Commission. The decision announced via Executive Board.

“IYF senior management has clear ambitions to extend the global reach. This is a key element of its development strategy” said Ms. Krystel SANEH, IYF President.

“International relations have to take into account an increasingly globalized and competitive environment. In addition, we have to consider the impact and the criteria of the international accreditation given by The IYF to qualified youth organizations which means constantly extending our network of partners.” said Ambassador Saeed ZAKI, IYF Secretary General.

In a comment on her appointment, Sarah said "Youth will play a crucial role in determining the future landscape of international relations. I'm incredibly excited to strengthen IYF's global partnerships with NGOs, and to involve youth in this process".

Ms. Sarah is a young professional who studied International Relations, Public Policy and Economics. Her interests include Canadian foreign policy, climate security, and human rights. Sarah's lead the International Relations Society at University of Toronto, having previously served as Vice President Mentorship and Multimedia Coordinator. Apart from her involvement with the Society, she has also served as President of the Hart House Debates Committee, Lead Analyst at the G7 Research Group, and Managing Editor of the Attache Journal of International Affairs.
