Saudi Arabia gained membership of the International Youth Federation 

London, United Kingdom:  In a statement issued today, the Executive Board announced that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has gained the permanent membership of the International Youth Federation. 

Youth in Saudi Arabia are between the ages of 15 and 24. In 2015, the estimated population was around twenty-seven million, and 19.11% of the population was between the ages of 15 and 24. Our vision is to enable youth to get their voices heard. Giving talented and motivated but disadvantaged young people the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge to actively contribute to the development of their societies, especially in the Arab world. 

Executive Board announces Souhoud Al Sharif as International Youth Federation Representative in Saudi Arabia 

Ms. Souhoud is a young professional, writer, producer, director and filmmaker passionate about youth empowerment.  She studied Production at Central Film School in East London. She produced two movies: Faith & Success and Misunderstood. About her appointment, she said: “It is a privilege and honour to accept this duty towards the youth and especially those who have a lot to give to the world”.

Ms. Souhoud has been nominated to the position of IYF Representative in Saudi Arabia by HRH Princess Basmah Bint Saud Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.


The International Youth Federation is an international non-profit youth organizations network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is neutral politically, and non-denominational, aim to empowering youth worldwide through improving the status of youth and promote cooperation between youth organizations in different countries.
