Guidelines for Using IYF Badges

This Guidelines are intended for use by eligible IYF Partners, accredited organizations.  Organizations or entities wishing to use IYF badges that the IYF makes available to partners as part of our programmes and agreements. These guidelines do not include guidelines for use of special badges/logos, which can be found online. If you are unsure of how these requirements apply to your specific business case, contact your IYF Focal Point/Representative for assistance.

The IYF badges are granted to partners, IYF accredited organization, entities, and companies who have qualified for such status. Partners who've earned the badge can add it to their website, other online properties, and offline marketing materials to show that the IYF recognizes their organization/entity as a partner. This page contains information on how you can use the badges.

Technical Instructions
Entities that have earned the right to use any of the IYF badges must follow the guidelines below. You may not use either badge in any way other than as specified in these guidelines. Failure to comply with these guidelines shall constitute a breach of the IYF Terms of Service.
  1. In general, you cannot show the IYF badge in any manner that implies a relationship or affiliation with the IYF. For example, the badge cannot be used in a way which may indicate that the IYF sponsors your entity or directly endorses any of your products, services, or information provided.
  2. Additionally, the badge cannot be used in a way that can be reasonably interpreted to suggest editorial content has been authored by or represents the views or opinions of the IYF or IYF personnel.
  3. The requirements apply to each individual element of your product offering, ad creative, or promotional material (e.g. website, informative/promo material, order forms, banner ads, email newsletters, printed materials, or other advertising, etc.)—anywhere you mention your designation as a partner with the IYF.
  4. Keep the focus on your entity. The IYF badge should not be more prominent than your logo. On any email or mail campaigns, it needs to be clear that the correspondence is not from the IYF, but from your organization. Additionally, the IYF cannot be mentioned in the subject line of any e-mails or on the outside of any direct mail pieces.
  5. You may not use any IYF brand, including the IYF badges, to disparage the IYF, its products or services, or partners in a manner which, in IYF’s sole discretion, may diminish or otherwise damage or IYF’s goodwill.

Right to Audit
The IYF may periodically perform random audits of partner’s materials to ensure compliance with these requirements and guidelines. If an item is selected for review, the IYF will contact you directly.
