Palestine gained membership of the International Youth Federation 
Minsk, Belarus:  In a statement issued today, the Executive Board announced that Palestine has gained the permanent membership of the International Youth Federation.

Our vision is to enable youth to get their voices heard. Giving talented and motivated but disadvantaged young people the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge to actively contribute to the development of their societies, especially in the Arab world. 

Executive Board announces Ibrahim Jarour as International Youth Federation Representative in Palestine 

Mr. Ibrahim is young professional passionate about youth empowerment. As a youth activist he had many contributions at community level. Studied Accountancy at Al-Quds Open University in Gaza. He is the founder Al-Fakhoora, local development organization for sustainable development as he is passionate about volunteerism and community service and has been part of many social and youth events and activities in Palestine.

About his appointment, he said: “I have always been striving for globalizing the youth issues of my society, and IYF came to be that opportunity for our voice to be heard. As a young activist, I do believe that change will be made only through the youth this world”. And he add: “I believe IYF will empower us to make a difference in this world, and together we can make a difference”.


The International Youth Federation is an international non-profit youth organizations network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is neutral politically, and non-denominational, aim to empowering youth worldwide through improving the status of youth and promote cooperation between youth organizations in different countries.
