Philippines gained membership of the International Youth Federation 
Minsk, Belarus:  In official statement this afternoon, the Executive Board announced that the Republic of the Philippines has gained the permanent membership of the International Youth Federation. 

The Global Partnership for Youth Development in Philippines, stated that one way to overcome the problems of the youth and to better equip them towards the development of the society is through youth empowerment. Empowerment could be manifested through greater opportunities for the youth. The Youth must be given opportunities to participate in community life and capacity building. The youth have a crucial role to play in shaping the future of our county, have that there is no doubt. They have proven that they can be powerful agents of change.

Executive Board announces David Lozada as International Youth Federation Representative in Philippines
Mr. David is young professional, journalist story-teller, an educator, and a travel blogger. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication minor in Global Politics degree, Cum Laude and Program Awardee, from the Ateneo de Manila University in March 2013. In college, he headed 7 sector-based development organizations in the Council of Organizations of the Ateneo for 2 consecutive terms.

In November 2015, his story on child hunger and malnutrition won the People's Choice Award in Save the Children's Media Awards. When he's not reporting about local governments' disaster mitigation plans or anti-pork barrel protests, he travels around the world - chasing sunsets, praying in Buddhist temples, and eating street food.

It is neutral politically, and non-denominational, aim to empowering youth worldwide through improving the status of youth and promote cooperation between youth organizations in different countries.
