International Youth Federation became a member of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN Youth)

London, United Kingdom:  The International Youth Federation became a member of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth (SDSN Youth) as a part of UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) launched by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in 2012 to promote practical problem solving for sustainable development, including the design and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at local, national and global scales. 

“We are humbled that the United Nations through the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network for Youth (UN SDSN Youth), recognized the International Youth Federation (IYF)'s initiatives in empowering the world youth. Consistent with the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals, IYF continues to advocate in transforming our world through maximizing and utilizing the potential of the youth sector, and thus, achieving "The future we want." Said Mr. Franclin Oliva, Chair of International Relations Commission at the International Youth Federation.

SDSN Youth educates young people about the challenges of sustainable development and creates opportunities for them to use their creativity and knowledge to pioneer innovative solutions for the SDGs. In addition, SDSN Youth creates platforms for young people to connect, collaborate and integrate their ideas and perspectives into national and regional pathways for implementation of the SDGs.
