IYF, New York: This week the second edition of the Youth Solutions Report, the flagship publication of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Youth, was launched on the sidelines of the annual High-Level Political Forum at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The report identifies and celebrates 50 youth-led solutions and ideas that are successfully contributing towards the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in business, charity, education and research. Vice President of the International Youth Federation, Ms. Julia Blocher, attended the launch.
“Youth have different perspectives, education, and experiences than older generations. Supporting youth-led innovations and youth entrepreneurialism is not just an investment in the future – it’s practical policy,” Ms. Blocher said in her comment on the event. “The youth entrepreneurs and leaders I met today are contributing meaningfully to transformations in business and in the public sector.”
The International Youth Federation became a member of became a member of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Youth Network (SDSN) in January 2017.
This year report’s solutions come from 61 countries and operate across all continents and regions, deal with crucial sustainable development issues, including clean energy, education, digitalization, e-participation, access to healthcare, ecosystem restoration, sustainable agriculture, and waste.
