Press Release: Haiti gained membership of the International Youth Federation 

London, United Kingdom:  In a statement issued today, the Executive Board announced that Haiti had gained the permanent membership of the International Youth Federation.  

Our vision at the IYF is to enable young people in Haiti to get their voices heard and giving talented and motivated young people the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge to actively contribute to the development of their societies.  

Executive Board announces Luidgi Jivens Selvius as International Youth Federation Representative in Haiti

Mr. Luidgi Jivens Selvius is a young leader and activist passionate about youth empowerment, culture and environment. After classical School, some months after the earthquake in Haiti (2010), He entered a Science of Environment Class, field of Project Management and Sustainable Development. He think there was the best contribution to give to his country as an engineer of environment. He had a chance to work at different spots in Haiti, especially at rural areas. 

In 2014, He co-founded a social Organization called Mouvement d’Appui au Développement en Milieu Rural (MADEMIR), an organization gives young Haitian the possibility to work with farmers, promote Agriculture and tackle the hunger problem in Haiti and the climate change globally. Through MADEMIR, He teach young Haitian to consider their rural spots as the best place to promote food access. MADEMIR actively participated after the hurricane Matthew at the south of the country.

Last year, he was selected among the 100 prominent young leaders around the world to attend a forum at Argentina (South American Business Forum – SABF).
