Press Release: International Youth Federation Appoints Jerome Montes as Regional Director for Asia & Pacific
London, United Kingdom: The Executive Office of the International Youth Federation announced today the appointment of Jerome Montes of the Republic of the Philippines as Regional Director for Asia & Pacific.
Jerome is an accomplished development practitioner with over a decade of experience in the nonprofit management sector. Throughout his career, Jerome has served in leadership and advisory roles with respected organizations, including UNICEF, Rare, Habitat for Humanity, and Share An Opportunity Philippines. Most recently, he served as Program Manager at Xylem, where he oversaw global youth engagement programs focused on water, STEM education, sustainability, innovation, and community service.
In his new capacity as Regional Director for Asia and Pacific, Jerome will lead IYF’s strategy and programmes across the region, working closely with Country Teams, governments, civil society, and development partners to advance youth empowerment, sustainable development, and inclusive leadership. His proven expertise in financial management, programme leadership, youth development, and community resilience will play a vital role in strengthening IYF’s presence and impact throughout Asia and the Pacific.

Director Jerome’s appointment underscores IYF’s mission to empower young people as key actors in achieving sustainable development and creating positive social change worldwide.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Microfinance and Accountancy from the Philippine Christian University and a Master’s degree in Development Management from the Asian Institute of Management.
