Press Release: International Youth Federation Appoints Carlo Angeles as Regional Director for Americas & the Caribbean
London, United Kingdom: The Executive Office of the International Youth Federation announced today the appointment of Carlo Angeles of the Republic of Peru, as a Regional Director in the Americas & the Caribbean region.
In his comment on the appointment, IYF Secretary-General said: “I am glad that we are expanding our operations to the Americas continent and the Caribbean, uniting youth efforts in this region for the benefit of the young generations."
Mr. Carlo brings to this position more than a wide range of experience in development, policy, advocacy outreach, programme management, and coordinating youth empowerment work.
Earlier in his career, he worked as National Director for youth organizations at the Ministry of Education, becoming Peruvian youngest senior government official. In this capacity, he designed Peru´s first civil society participation and accountability mechanism for the Sustainable Development Goals.
Currently, he serves as Executive Director of Lab2030, on the Advisory Board of SISE University, as the founder of Hult Prize Peru, a member of the International Committee of ICPD - UNFPA and as an elected legislator at the Government of Lima.
He holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from San Martin de Porres University.
